Not many human beings, including members and non-members, know that the Project Management Institute (PMI) is supported by volunteers from across the earth. That was my condition when I joined PMI in 2005; I did not know that I would act locally; supporting the community chapter, and globally being part of communities of practice and participating in projects with global reach.
