One of the most televised events in recent history is when the President Bush avowed aboard a military ship, “Mission Accomplished,” shortly after the successful ouster of Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein. While the intended effect of this obviously staged event was to garner patriotic supporter from Americans, and at the moment it may have provided somewhat of a “feel excellent moment,” when thousands of Americans lost their lives, and much more were injured and maimed in the ensuing multi- year prolonged war, many cynics looked at that moment rather as indicative of all the political mistruths, have truths, and “spin”…
